the trip to new york was...surprisingly smooth. everytime we showed up somewhere for a train, subway or whatever, it had just arrived. i couldn't get over how well things worked out. kinda got lost most of the time but its okay, we had time to spare as well as a nice city to stare at. when we finally found the Blue man group's theatre, i was alittle dissappointed. so small and seems so run down, but the show was great. hard to say how amazing it was. after the show, we wanted to go to chikalicious for the french dessert...apparently it was closed...who closes a 9 on a friday night? so we decided to go to magnolias for some cupcakes. the walk was loong and cold. but the cupcakes we finally got were pretty good. dunno if it was because i was hungry or if it was indeed that good. after that we wandered in teh cold again to find somewhere to eat. houston st is full of sushi, so we ended up going to monster sushi. very nicely decorated...meaning quite expensive as well. i had toro...ohh, so good. but so expensive. 5 dollars for one piece of sushi. okay, so it was a BIG piece of sushi, but still...then we had eel on rice, white tuna roll, tiger eyes, and elephant eyes. can't say i enjoyed tiger eyes or elephant eyes quite as much as i did the first time. after we ate, we decided to go for a stroll...and stroll we did...somehow...to the holland tunnel. that was kinda...funny. we met stella, james, and kenny at the train station. what a coincidence. by the time we got home, it was 2am already.
got pwned again, same situation. so i wake up expecting to have to teach at chinese school again, only to get there and realize there's no class. at least this time, there were ppl there, there's just no culture class...gahhh, i coulda spent 3 more hours sleeping....
